The boy who harnessed the wind

This is exactly what I'm on about. Beautiful ingenuity here. Out of a tractor fan - just super. Not only that he had to learn basic circuitry too. You can find his book 'The boy who harnessed the wind' below.

William Kamkwamba's story is superb an should be a message to all of us

The Marathon Training Log

Seeing as how I'm going to be getting up early, stretching heading out the door and running, sweating, ruining my trainers and generally being illogical. I decided you can share my Pain and maybe even my Gain. Here's My Logbook. I will tell you exactly how much blood and tears I sweat each day. You can donate either per Pint of Blood, Sweat or Tears, or in Miles if you prefer. Either way it all goes to a spectacularly good cause The Angela Shelton Foundation whose mission is to inspire and empower all survivors of abuse to heal and lead joyful lives. Fantabuloustic! Thank you for your support.
You can follow my routes/distance and progress in the centre of France at Daily Mile

Total to date
Days - Day 9
Blood Sweat Tears in Pints - 9pts
Miles - 8
Misc - Turned down one lift from smiling fellow. Saw one Pine Marten, one Barn Owl. Had a run in with mating giant flying stag beetles. Need running pants. Discovered calf muscles. Stopped using asthma meds, and focused on Buteyko breathing method (breathing out more than in.). Kung fu warm up takes 20min
Last updated - July 9th!

This makes your hair beautiful...

One handful fresh Rosemary
Few dried Juniper Berries
Large dash of Olive Oil
Large dash of Apple Cider Vinegar
Dash of Balsamic Vinegar (optional)

Steep Sage and Rosemary and Juniper Berries for Several minutes. (you can drink some if you like dilute yum) Blend It
Mix together Olive Oil and Vinegars
Strain Herb into Oil mixture and Blend together

Marathoning

I am starting to train for the Monumental Marathon (or nearest). Beginning with the half marathon in November this year. I will be fund raising for the Angela Shelton Foundation and you can Donate here at my firstgiving page

I have never run a marathon before. In my life I have had severe asthma/eczema as a kid (see pics) and couldn't walk, but overcome it through conditioning, diet and alternative therapies. I also had Chronic Fatigue seriously in my twenties, but overcame this with Tibetan Medicine. I have since alpine climbed, kayaked, surfed and taught scout leaders survival training.

You can follow my progress here on my Marathon Training Log and see my routes/times here at Daily Mile

I am being helped in this process by a wonderful Angel from the Army of Angels Juliette Cagigas who ran the Los Angeles Marathon in March and she is helping me with training and the running fitness things. Thank you Juliette!

Where heroic vision grows

'Where vision grows

A clever writer will hang the extraordinary among the ordinary and make the important things in life evident in the way someone pours the tea.

A hero may require an event to show that they are a hero, but they were no less a hero the day before when they were pouring the tea and no more the day after.' Musings from my book of poetry

(To all my heroes, you'll always be heroic to me just for being you and voluntarily sharing my little life)

'O day arise! The Atoms are dancing...'

'O day, arise! The atoms are dancing.
Thanks to Him the universe is dancing.
The souls are dancing, overcome with ecstasy.
I'll whisper in your ear where their dance is taking them...
All the atoms in the air and in the desert Know well, they seem insane.
Every single atom, happy or miserable,
Becomes enamoured of the sun, of which nothing can be said'

Deepwater Horizon by Louise Brookes

Deeply water my horizon with hope…

Spill your tolerance…

Overflow with love…

Fully fill my potential...

Fuel me with motivation…

Free flow my energy…

Wrap me in boom like arms…

Tend to my inner creatures…

Clean up my doubts…

Stop up my leaking ignorance…

Purify my waves of wisdom…

Explain my oceans of mystery...

Swim in me, settle on me,

Walk on me, dance on me,

Fly over me, sigh over me...

Cry over me, sit on me...

Spit on me...

Shit on me...

But please don’t drill in me...

Because it's killing me...
